Quality Assurance Facilitator / Coach

Job Summary:
The Quality Assurance Facilitator / Coach is responsible for quality, food safety and aesthetics of the products. The QA Facilitator will work very closely with operators and lead hands to ensure adherence to good manufacturing practices (GMP), food safety, Safe Quality Food (SQF) standards and product quality standards.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Monitoring product quality and compliance PRIMARILY ON THE PRODUCTION FLOOR.
  • Coach and train operators and lead hands to an exceptional understanding and compliance to the required quality and Food Safety standards.
  • Proactively Identify opportunities and potential non conformances.
  • Promptly Identify and implement corrective action to avoid product holds.
  • Continuously evaluate and work with supervisors and quality manager to identify and implement solutions to address the root causes of problems
  • Monitor accuracy and calibration status of production testing equipment, e.g. thermometers, magnets, metal detectors etc Monitor and coach for accurate and timely generation of production documentation. Be the production representative on the Food Safety team.
  • Assist and be a backup for QA Technician as required with laboratory duties, including chemical testing, packaging evaluation etc. Knowledge, Skills, Abilities &

Production Supervisor - Dunnville

Position Summary:

Reporting to the Production Manager, the Production Supervisor is responsible for the manufacturing and packaging of our products regarding Safety, Quality and Efficiency. S/He will supervise multiple production rooms and approximately 20-30 staff depending on the season. S/He will be responsible for training, job development, managing staff performance with KPIs and motivating your team on a daily basis for optimal output. Always promoting teamwork and personal accountability.

With a view to streamlining and continuous improvement the Production Supervisor will create added value where there is opportunity. S/He will be accountable for meeting or exceeding daily targets and providing solid leadership in this fast-paced work environment.

The successful candidate will have min 2 years production experience preferably in the Food Industry and a minimum of 5 years supervisory experience. You will require good understanding of Warehouse operations, HACCP, GMPs and SQF. You will be joining a company who is growing fast by developing products under contract to small businesses and to large corporations. We have the whole range as well as developing, manufacturing, and packaging for our own label. You will be able to communicate at all levels and be able to represent production to other departments and recognize your internal customers.

Maintenance Manager - Dunnville

Position: As the Maintenance Manager, you will lead the Maintenance Department and Program to ensure the building, plant infra-stucture equipment and production lines are providing the safety, performance and reliability to support operators for performing at optimal levels so that productivity and capacity are achieved to the level of a world class facility standards.



  • Understands and promote the mentality that Maintenance is a dedicated service to production and always demonstrate a sense of urgency towards fixing downtime or waste
  • Establish a clear list of critical components and the related spare-parts inventory, redundancy and/or back-up plan
  • Support the Plant Engineer in finding opportunities, implementing and maintaining the process and equipment improvement, automation and cost reduction initiatives
  • Maintain with the Plant Engineer a rolling 3-5 years capital plan
  • Lead reliability strategy to reduce breakdowns and extend the life of equipment
  • Ensure plant assets integrity and optimal reliability
  • Revamp the Maintenance Program and turnaround the current state with defining a new target challenging optimal state
  • Implement modern proactive maintenance techniques and methodologies
  • Work with the team to implement KPIs
  • Manage the Maintenance team and ensure that the team is fully engaged and competent for the work required: motivate, develop, evaluate and provide direct support
  • Provide assistance with troubleshooting
  • Manage outside contractors
  • Understands and elevates our standards for People Safety and Food Safety for when we operate equipment but also when we perform maintenance or troubleshooting
  • Optimize cost through effective budget planning, resources management and reduction in reactionary purchases and repairs
  • Sourcing for the best suppliers and outside contractors
  • Continuously strive to reduce reactionary maintenance by fixing the root cause
  • Work with the Team in Lean Manufacturing initiatives
  • Very strong advocate of 5S, SMED and Visual factory, starting with keeping the Maintenance Area (including toolbox, cabinets and lifts) in impeccable state at all times and keep an organized, secured and clean inventory of spare parts and stored equipment
  • Maintain all Equipment Manufacturer’s original material secured and provide copies to staff when required.
